There's a certain kind of space for thought I find only when swimming.
After an hour in the pool at dusk it's extremely tangible.
The pool here is wonderful, glass walls and roof, mountains above, light plays different games at every time of day and night.
Today it's empty, time stills as there's only my reflection swimming in space somewhere on the other side of the glass roof, like an image from a Bill Viola installation.
I think about the waterproof camera (with headstrap) Brad was using in Dundee and wonder if I'd get one here in time before I leave...
Could I capture this space on a file?
I made this colour grid at http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.172043,-115.562149 using http://twitter.com/gathererappAfter an hour in the pool at dusk it's extremely tangible.

Things I see here are:
Space opening up in bubbles of kaleidoscopic light
I notice:
The movement of my hands creating waves in the surface of the water
The colours in this grid are like:
A tapestry of light reflecting surface refracting space
